Meeting Minutes - August 26, 2008

In attendance: Sheryl Morgan, Mike Long, Laura Atkinson, [PC], [GL]

Called to order at 7:03 p.m.

Homeowners Concerns

• [omitted online] asked about the tree replanting on Wildberry.
• Mike explained that the parking space of [omitted online] Durbin had been damaged by the resident and needed to be fixed. Sheryl will get the pavers to fix it while they are in the neighborhood doing other projects.
• The Directors voted unanimously via e-mail on August 26 to appoint Laura Atkinson to take the place of Chantal Winston, who had to step down due to having entered graduate school. This makes Laura Vice-President and Secretary until the annual meeting.
• A request for a satellite dish was submitted by [omitted online]. It was approved on the condition that it is placed at the rear of the unit in such a way as to not interfere with landscaping.

Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting

Unanimously approved - May and July.

Management Report

• Several drainage projects are in progress.
• Quintin and Finley lots remain to be painted.

Old Business

• The decision was made to cap the lights on top of the entrance signs. Sheryl will get bids for this.
• Mike and Laura voted to remove the Prestwick fence. The Board will decide later on its replacement. An edging made of brick-type pavers is the most likely option. Sheryl will get some bids for that work.
• Sidewalk repair bids are in and are far more expensive than anticipated. The Board will do another walkthrough and look for the repairs that are most important.
• The aesthetics of mailboxes were discussed again. Laura will look at similar communities to see what kind of mailboxes they have.

New Business

• An insurance agent would like to make a presentation to the Board regarding a blanket policy for rebuilding the structures in case of fire or other destruction. The Board would like to hear this presentation and gather some data to present to homeowners at the annual meeting, where a decision can be made on whether to proceed.
